December Fool's Day

Given there was no end of the world as we know it, I can only speculate one distinct possibility:
-Mayans were wrong

I find humor in this.

I haven't done a vast amount of study on the Mayans' prediction of the Apocalypse nor do I understand or have I researched how to read this calendar. I can only speculate.

Were the Mayans convinced that the end of the calendar meant that it would be all over? Or do we just look for the next Mayan calendar like we would next year's? Maybe they passed it on to the Incas, and the Incas didn't follow through?

Of course, they could have just run out of room.
